Premier Reveals Job Creation Plan

The presses were hot yesterday with news of Premier Christy Clark's job plan to stimulate the BC economy. Although Vancouver Island did not specifically feature in the announcements made, it is expected that some of the broader initiatives will impact the area. Plans included new government departments to deal with jobs and investment, shorter processing times for issuing permits related to resource projects and development and substantial increases to international student numbers and tax incentives for small business. Plans for Cowichan Lodge

A recent open house was hosted by VIHA to give the public an overview of plans to renovate the Cowichan Lodge Facility.

 

Construction Start at Saanich Peninsula Hospital

VIHA today confirmed the contractor for the expansion work on Saanich Peninsula Hospital.  Kinetic Construction are the successful bidder.  Work is expected to begin immediately.  Click here for more information.
